Heidi 8 Year Old, Female, Coonhound.

Heidi is an eight year old, female, Coonhound who is looking for her forever home. She has been used to being around children of all ages. She stays calm around the house and is fully house-trained. Heidi can be reactive to other dogs but has lived with them and cats before. She has some food guarding issues so would suit an experienced adult home. Please enquire.

Heidi [Reserved]'s Assessment.

● Heidi is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped.
● She has no known health issues.
● Left alone in the house, Heidi will stay calm.
● Once you get home, she’s pleased to see you!
● When you’re around the house with Heidi, she tends to be quiet apart from when she’s in the garden and hears other dogs barking. She hardly ever follows you between rooms.
● Heidi can be a little reactive to people at the front door, depending on the individual. She’s usually curious about people but sometimes (for no apparent reason) can be scared and will bark at them.
● She’s fed once a day with Wagg dry food and can be quite boisterous whilst waiting for her meal.
● Heidi will sometimes resource guard her food and will growl/grumble if other people come near.
● Heidi is fully house-trained.
● She’s had some limited obedience training and understands the commands: sit, come here, paw, and recall (when off-lead).
● Heidi has a walk once a day and walks well on a loose lead unless she sees a dog she wants to meet. She may pull sometimes. If you walk briskly or jog, she’s not interested in lunging.
● She has varied reactions to other dogs. She can ignore some, be interested in some, and bark at some if they look scary. This can alarm people if they’re not used to the baying of a Coonhound.
● Heidi has been used to being around children from the ages of toddler up to seventeen.
● She’s lived with other cats and a Beagle.
