Morpheus is a playful 7 month old male short haired dachshund puppy looking for his forever home. He is vaccinated and microchipped. Morpheus is fully house-trained and knows some basic commands. He sometimes pulls on the lead. He is not a fan of other dogs and will bark or ignore them. He has lived with children and previously lived with cats. He does mouth and is quite vocal. ● Morpheus is fully vaccinated and micro-chipped. He is not yet neutered.
● Morpheus has no known health issues
● He has been used to having the run of the home downstairs and sleeping upstairs on the bed at night
● Morpheus will bark or cry when left home alone
● Morpheus is pleased to see you when you arrive home and jumps up
● He will sometimes follow you to another room
● Morpheus is very energetic and behaves well and will play on the floor or sleep on the sofa for most of the day. He can be boisterous with play biting and doesn't solo play
● Morpheus will bark when people come to the front door. If it's someone he's familiar with, he will calm after a few barks. If it's someone he doesn't know then he will continue to bark until he can't hear them or they come in and he feels safe with them. This is usually within 10-20 minutes
● Morpheus is excited when waiting for food and will sit next to you. Once ready he will go to where he eats sit and give a paw
● He currently eats 3 times daily at 6:30am, 1pm and 6:30pm 50grams of dry food Hills puppy food or Pets at Home puppy food and 100grams of wet food Butcher's puppy perfect
● In warm weather he tends not to eat at all, but will come back to it over time
● Morpheus is fully house-trained
● Morpheus has had no basic obedience training but understands the commands sit and paw
● He has been used to walking 2 to 3 times daily for a minimum of 30 minutes at a time
● Morpheus will sometimes pull on the lead
● He is not a fan of other dogs and will bark or ignore them unless they are other daschunds
● Morpheus has lived with children between 5 and 16 years old previously and has spent time with a visiting 2-year-old. He has been very good with them
● He hasn't been living with other animals but previously lived in a household with cats.
● Morpheus is a very energetic dog who would benefit from plenty of attention. He can bark at most things if not getting attention. He will mouth or playbite certain family members, but not others.
● He would benefit from some puppy training.
