Laela 3 year old, Female, American Bulldog

Laela is a 3 year old female American Bulldog looking for her forever home. She is neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped, Laela has some known health issues. Laela is not used to living with children but has lived with another dog called Juno. She has had some obedience training and understands a wide range of commands. She sometimes pulls on the lead. She is fully house-trained. Laela is looking for an adult active new home with Juno or where she can receive plenty of attention. Please enquire.

● Laela is microchipped, vaccinated and neutered
● She is currently being treated with steroids for suspected allergies
● She has some bald patches and receives supplements to help with stomach upset and itchy skin.
● She can get waxy ears so these need to be cleaned regularly
● When left alone, Laela sleeps
● She is pleased to see you when you come home
● She will always follow you to other rooms
● When at home she sleeps or plays with the resident dog. She can resource guard toys and this can cause tension with other dogs.
● When people are at the front door Laela is interested and barks, she wants to see who’s there but doesn’t jump when she meets them.
● She is excited around food but will wait and drool at meal times.
● She is fed twice a day
● She is fully house-trained
● She has some basic training and understands a range of commands including: sit, stay, come here, leave it, paw, bark and recall.
● She has been walked once a day but would happily walk more.
● She sometimes pulls on the lead
● She doesn’t react to other dogs but is easily influenced by resident dogs’ behaviour (i.e. barking)
● She is not used to living with children and would suit an adult home
● She has lived with another dog called Juno and would like a home with him if possible
● She cannot live with with small furies or cats
● She is a cuddly, gentle giant
● She can be nervous of veterinary procedures
● She can have issues around food so should be fed separately to other animals. She is also a speed eater.
● Little is known about Laela's history, so she may develop or display behaviours that are not currently known.
