Oscar 5 Year Old, Male, Cross Breed

Oscar is a five year old, male, Cross Breed who’s loving and is looking for his forever home. He has an irregular heartbeat which is controlled with medication. Oscar is fully house-trained and understands a few commands. He’s been used to living with a pack of dogs but this often leads to reactive behaviour and stress for Oscar. He would suit an adult family with no smaller pets. Please enquire.
Oscar's Assessment.
● Oscar is neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped.
● He has an irregular heartbeat which is treated with half a Sotophor daily. This was diagnosed over two years ago and is controlled with medication - the vet has no further concerns.
● When left alone in the house, Oscar will sleep.
● At home with Oscar, he’s usually either wanting to play or is sleeping. Very rarely he can be reactive if he hears barking or a strange noise.
● He enjoys playing in the garden with the other dogs but it can cause problems with his reactivity.
● Oscar reacts when someone is at the front door and will bark.
● He has one meal a day in the evening. He has shredded carrots and rice on top of Jollyes Life stage and usually a squirt of salmon oil. He also has two tablespoons of dog food from a tin (which his medication is hidden in). This is all mixed up with a tablespoon of fat free Greek yoghurt (he loves this). Has a chew once a week.
● Oscar will sit calmly whilst waiting for his food.
● He’s fully house trained.
● Oscar hasn’t had obedience training but does understand the commands: sit, stay, come here, and leave it.
● He has a walk a couple of times a week and behaves well on his lead.
● Oscar has been used to living in a pack of ten dogs and hasn’t been around other dogs but seems fine when on a visit to the vets.
● He hasn’t lived with or been used to visiting children. Oscar reacts to jumping and loud noises such as shouting.
● Oscar has lived with cats but they had to be kept away from the pack.
● He has a high prey drive for small animals.
● Oscar hates the vets (due to a previous painful experience) and needs to be muzzled.
FAQs● This animal will be vet checked before leaving us.
● This dog is located in Skegness, Lincolnshire
