Monty 6 year old Dalmation

Monty is a loving 6 year old Dalmation who is looking for his forever home. He's neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He is fully house-trained and knows basic commands, including recall off the lead. He will sometimes pull on the lead and reacts well to other dogs on walks. He can be submissive in play but also enjoys running around. He is gentle with little dogs and returns to you if a larger dog approaches. He has lived with children, another dog and cat. He would prefer to live in a peaceful area without many cars. Please enquire.

● Monty has been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.
● He has a slight rash on his inner thigh. He has a small lump which has had a fine needle aspiration with a vet and is a benign lipoma.
● He will sleep when left home alone
● Monty will jump up when you arrive home
● He will sometimes follow you to another room
● Monty will stay near you sleeping when at home or generally follows you if you go out of range of his hearing.
● Monty will bark if someone knocks on the door or rings the bell. He will stop when the door has been answered
● He will remind you when it's time for food by doing a little dance and will sit when you tell him to
● He's used to being fed in the morning and evening. He has been eating dry food but has switched easily between brands. He is currently eating Harringtons
● Monty is fully house-trained but has had no formal obedience training
● He knows the commands sit, stay, come here and has some recall when off the lead
● He has been used to quick walks in the morning and evening to go to the toilet and another walk in the middle of the day. He doesn't need to go far but likes to have somewhere he can play and have zoomies
● He will sometimes pull on the lead on walks
● Monty reacts well to other dogs and is curious upon meeting them sniffing them. He will then do a submissive bend to see if they want to play/ He likes to chase and be chased. He has been gentle with little dogs. He is fine with bigger dogs, but if they are overly dominant he will come to you to protect him
● He has lived with older children and been gentle with them
● He's lived with a cat since he was 2 years old. He has been very gentle trying to play with her and has been non-reactive when hit on the nose by the cat. He can be clumsy and the cat usually runs out of the way when he is excited to avoid being stepped on
● Monty is not used to busy streets so is a little reluctant and sometimes turns to go home if he's around too many cards. He would be better in a quieter place with a garden
● He loves hugs and scratches with a rubber grooming glove. He's very sweet, loving and likes attention
● Monty has never injured a person or animal
